Morticia's Chair Redo

Short post for today!  I have been looking over the mansion (as you have probably noticed) and I realized I was unhappy with Morticia's chair.  And if there is one thing I need to get right it is her chair!  Everyone recognizes it from the 1960's tv show.

Anyhow.. you can see the before picture.  I have given it arms, a few more "strings" in the back and a new more detailed paint job.

I also took a picture of it in the mansion and it looks much more at home!  I think it definitely needed the arms!

Thanks for all the great comments lately.... its been great to be back in blogland again!  -Ara

    1. Thank you Illyria! Your give-away looks lovely! I will have to enter when I don't have a toddler pulling on my leg! -ara

    2. Don't worry, you still have a week to enter :) You're still able to do miniatures with a toddler demanding attention?! Wow, now that's impressive! :)

  3. Looks great! I think the arms add a lot to it. Isn't it funny how you can make something and look at it and look at it thinking something is off? I do that too- I guess that is why our dollhouses are never really finished :) Have a super weekend Ara ♥

    1. So true... even when we get something "finished" it may not still be finished a year from now lol! Hopefully this chair is really done now that its been done twice! hugs, Ara

    1. Thank you! Yes... it is a very important chair now that I think about it... probably the most iconic piece of furniture in the house... I am glad I put more effort into it! Sometimes it takes me a while! lol hugs, Ara

  6. Takes me a log while too! I remember re-making a woven stool a few times. :) In our mini world, almost every little piece is important and I am always inspired by your relentless pursuit for "better and better". Ara, your chair, like all the rest are super awesome!

Guess what was on HBO today? The Addams Family movie! After more than 10 years, it is still so much fun to watch :). And of course, it reminded me of you, Big Time!

  7. You're so right Sans! Every square inch counts in such small areas!!

I will always sit down and watch them when I catch them on tv. The other night it was on at my in-laws. They were half listening and then had a questions about the plot. I summarized it in a small speech lol... I don't think they truely understood my Addams love until then!

    hugs, Ara
