Up, Up and Away we go....

So FINALLY some of the walls have gone up!!! Now - if you are a seasoned dollhouse builder don't freak out... not all these pictured walls are glued yet so I still have room to move around a bit. And the floors are really darker than they seem in the photograph. I also included the organ for scale. It is a large piece but it kind of makes me concerned for how much room I really have..... so not as much as I thought.

Also, I love seeing all the stories of people cats getting into their dollhouses (as long as its not a complete destruction story... those are so sad) so I have included a picture with the most curious creature living in my house.... Audrey the dog. I think she licked nearly every piece of this dollhouse as I unpacked it from its box...ahhhh :(. But I took a picture of her so possibly I can prove to her that she does not fit in the house AT ALL and that it is not for her... not that pictures help with this one :)

  1. Your dog is so cute!

I wouldn't worry about space...in the original TV show, the Addams family seemed a bit cramped for space with all that furniture ...

The photos reminded me of Thing.

  8. This is the Alison Jr right? It is 1:12 :). You see, I own one too ! One of my 4 Victorians. You can check them out at http://sanqueenannediary.blogspot.com/. The rooms I am afraid are a teeny wee bit small though and you can't put too many things. My hookah will fit though :)

  10. Thank you guys for your kind words about Audrey, she is both the comedian and the baby of the house at the moment! She's a Cavachon if anyones wondering what breed she is - its one of those new mixes....

Also thanks for the links! Those really do look like Thing!! Makes me think I should include him helping the kitchen - haha!

  11. It's looking great! I love seeing a picture of the entire house. If it turns out you want more space as time goes on, you can always build more rooms and add-ons.

Your doggie is adorable! I have a miniature pinscher who would also probably fit in my house, but she's got a bit of a nervous temperment; I'm not sure she'd look as relaxed and happy as Audrey does up on that second floor!
